WPA Recreational Director Starts Series of Lectures To University Students Mr. Edgar Schmidt, A.B.'30, State Director of Recreation under the auspices of the Works Progress Administration, began a series of lectures in Dr. Forrest C. Allen's Community Recreation class yesterday. These lectures will be given each Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock, and will deal with recreation as sponsored by the Federal W.P.A. organization. Schmidt was a member of the varsity football and baseball teams during his undergraduate days, winning letters in football in 1927,'28, '29,and in baseball in 1928,'29,and '30.
