THE STUDENTS JOURNAL. 15 Several of the graduates and undergraduates of the music school have been very successful this summer in teaching. At the meeting of the National Educational Association in Denver, Prof. Olin read a paper on "Teachers Institutes." Prof. Sayre has prepared a paper entitled "A Precise Presentation of Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Materia Medica Therapeutics and Physiology," which will be published in a future issue of "The Pharmaceutical Era." The paper shows in a clear manner the relations of these sciences to each other. Lute Stover is a candidate for the nomination for Surveyor of Brown county. The STUDENTS JOURNAL wishes him success. It is the most complete work of the kind in existence. A noble heart doth teach a virtuous scorn. To scorn to owe a duty over-long; To scorn to be for benefits forborne; To scorn a lie; to scorn to do a wrong; To scorn to bear an injury in mind; To scorn a free-born heart slave-like to bind. —Elizabeth Carew.
