B. Bates, F. L. Glick. Prof. Cowan is making an individual physical examination of the members of his classes. He has a special apparatus for testing the various muscles of the body, and puts the boys through one at a time. He records the results of the tests on a printed chart which shows the normal proportion between the different muscles. Some very unequal developments have been found and the lines upon the chart bear a striking resemblance to the isothermal lines on a physical geography map, or to those on a diagram showing market prices of wheat and corn through twenty years of alternate financial prosperity and depression.
