The reception to the students at the Friends' church last Saturday evening was very well attended, and was, indeed, a very pleasant social event. This was the first reception given by the friends to the students, and it was a marked success.

There was a good attendance at the opening meeting of the Adelphic society last Friday. The program was, in the main, very good. About a dozen new names were added to the roll of members and a number of officers elected to fill vacancies. Robert Wells was elected to succed President Ward McCrosky, resigned; C. J. Moore was elected treasurer; P. A. Classen, critic; W. E. Griffin and J. F. Hall, members of the executive committee. All students are cordially invited to attend these Friday evening meetings.
