This is the last list of gift suggestions, and the society staff hopes it has been helpful in solving your gift problems. Although not everyone can travel, most people are interested in articles that come from foreign countries. There are many gifts from these lands that would be excellent for the person "who has everything." Glass Jewelry Glass jewelry from Italy is available in many colors with copper, gold, or silver metallic specks. Necklaces and bracelets match and make a much appreciated gift for the lover of unusual jewelry. From Venice come the figurines, ash trays, and other glass pieces made in the Murano glass factory. The process by which gold is sealed into the glass is known only to those at the factory, and their products are available in colors to go in every room. Ash Trays Cigarette boxes, ash trays of brass inlaid with enamel from China, or a stamp box of cinnabar make an interesting gift. Cinnabar consists of many coatings of red enamel on a wood base, and scenes of Chinese life are often carved in the enamel. Another gift from the Far East which can be used every Christmas is a Japanese kissing bell. Made of a wire base in the shape of a bell, it is decorated with silver cones. The bell makes an unusual frame for mistletoe. Kissing Bell Candlesticks An ancient looking, but modern gift comes from Israel. Slate blue enamel laid on brass or copper is available in candlesticks, ash trays, cigarette boxes, and little pitchers for those who collect knick knacks. Swedish candlesticks in bronze are always appropriate gifts for an older person. They come in many interesting shapes and almost any size. Apothecary Jars Returning to the domestic scene, there are many interesting pieces that many people do not think of when shopping. Apothecary jars, good for keeping candy or spices, come in clear glass in five sizes.
