Chewning, acting superintendent, said yesterday. Monday was the busiest day for parcel mailing, and Wednesday the heaviest for letters, he said. Postal clerks handled over 6,000 letters Wednesday. Students should mail their packages this week to have them delivered in time for Christmas, Mr Chewning said. For large quantities of mail, persons are requested to separate city from out-of-city mail by string or rubber bands. This speeds up the work considerably, he said. The University nst office will be open at its regular hours throughout Christmas vacation, except for Monday. Dec. 26 and Monday. Jan. 2 when it will be closed all day.
