University Daily Kansan Page 5 Now Is Time To Seek Jobs If羽utetile shopping or second semester tuition is going to play havoc with your bank account, it's time to think about a part-time job next semester, or even next summer. Students may apply for employment at the office of aids and awards, 222 Strong. Those who applied for employment any time during the semester are urged by Dennis Trueblood, aids and awards director, to contact the office again at the beginning of the second semester to bring applications up to date. "It's always advisable for a person to utilize the aids and awards office for part-time employment, but we can't do very much for students without telephone numbers or class schedules." Mr. Trueblood said. It's not too early to consider summer employment, he said. The office has numerous contacts for students who are interested in summer work. He said that more jobs are available at the beginning of each semester because of the turnover. Some of the summer work possibilities are in summer camps, canneries, hotels, resorts, factories, summer travel, work campus, and seminars, he said. First Pinch BISMARKC, N.D. (U.P.)—Policeman Ray Bossert takes his job seriously. He was one of the first to drive through a red light when a new semaphore was installed at a downtown intersection. Bossert wrote himself a tag and paid a $5 fine.
