Committees Selected For Religious Emphasis Week
Committee chairmen for Religious Emphasis Week, to be held Feb. 26-Mar. 2, were announced today.
They are Mary A. Sweldun, Salina junior, speaker scheduling committee; John L. Hysom, Ottawa junior, organized house speakers; Michael T. Mills, McPherson sophomore, classroom speakers; Laurian Seeber, Irvington, N.Y. freshman, religious group speakers; and Kay L. Westgate, Lawrence sophomore, seminar speakers.
The steering committee includes Jo Ann Boswell, Kansas City, Mo. senior; Kay Kerr, Danforth graduate; Dr. Robert Sokal, Hillel Foundation adviser; LaVerne Morin, Damar sophomore; Lucy Bremankamp, Colby junior; Miss Cook; Miss Swedlund; Studdard, and Skinner.

and Patricia Ellis, Salina junior, are co-chairman of Religious Emphasis Week, Chancellor Franklin D. Murphy is honorary chairman. Advisers include Dr. George Anderson, professor of history, Dean Burton W. Marvin of the William Allen White School of Journalism, and William Allaway, general secretary of the YMCA.
Firms Schedule Job Interviews
Fifteen companies have scheduled interviews for prospective graduates of the School of Engineering. These interviews are open to students in all phases of engineering.
Students interested in these interviews are asked to sign interview schedules and applications in the office of the Dean, 111 Marvin.
Monday—Arma Division of American Bosch Arma Corporation; Standard Oil Company of Indiana; and The Magnavox Company, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Tuesday—Hamilton Standard Division of United Aircraft Corporation; Hercules Powder Company, Wilmington, Del.; and the Missouri State Highway. A group meeting for persons interested in Hamilton Standard Division of United Aircraft Corporation will be held Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in 109 Marvin.
Wednesday—North American Aviation, Columbus, Ohio; Goodyear Tire and Rubber of Kansas, Topeka, Kansas; and General Electric, Hanford Atomic Works. The North American Aviation company is also offering summer employment.
Thursday—General Electric; Diamond; Alkali Company, Cleveland, Ohio; and the Naval Air Development Center.
Friday—Kansas State Highway Commission; Magnolia Petroleum; and the Kerr-McGee Oil Company.
Political Writer To Speak
"After Geneva, What?" will be the topic discussed by Clifford Stratton, political writer for the Topeka Daily Capital, Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the English Room of the Student Union. The Collegiate Council of the UN is sponsoring the talk. The public is invited.

Maybe A Former Student Typed It
Day after day he preaches accuracy (plus brevity and clarity) to staff members and chides them sternly when occasional factual flaws mar an issue. His students and staff members begin to look upon him with loathing, especially when he tells them that readers in low places and in high places lie in wait to pounce whenever an error shows itself.
Thursday the news adviser, Emil L. Telfel, associate professor of journalism, received a communication from a high place. It was addressed to "Evel Gelfel."
