Applicants for the French government awards should write to the United States Student Department of the Institute of International Education, 1 East 67th, New York 21, N.Y. The French government is offering 30 university fellowships and 40 teaching assistantships. The fellowship awards are for students with academic projects or study plans. The assistantships afford language teaching experience and an opportunity to become better acquainted with France. The closing date for application is Feb. 1, 1956.
