Women's Club To Hold Party
Friday, Dec. 9, 1955.
The University Women's Club will hold its annual Christmas party for members, their husbands, and guests from 8:30 p.m. to midnight Saturday in the ballroom of the Student Union. Formal dress is optional.
Clyde Bysom's orchestra will play for dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. A short program will be presented during the 10 p.m. intermission. Tables for bridge and canasta will be set up.
Mrs. George W. Bradshaw and Mrs. L. E. Anderson, co-chairmen in planning for the party, are being
assisted by Mrs. Charles W. Dodrill in charge of the program; Mrs. Robert Vosper, the dance; Miss Maud Ellsworth, the table decoration; and Mrs. Raymond Hall and Miss Edna Hill, co-chairman of the refreshment committee.
A Hurry Call
IONIA, Mich. —(U,P)—Ernest J. Banghart, 5, Saginaw, who was on his way to Ionia County Hospital to visit a relative, got there in a hurry in an ambulance after his car collided with a station wagon.
French Christmas carols and a reading of the Bible story of the Nativity were the highlights of the French Club's Christmas party in the Student Union.
French Club Party Features Carols
The carols were sung by a choir directed by Janice Mason, St. Joseph, Mo. senior. Soloists were Jack Davison, Bolivar, Mo. sophomore, Merrilyn Coleman, Frankfort junior, and Carolyn Hart, Topeka senior. Marie-Madeleine Susini, Rabat, Morocco, and Philippe Hieronimus, Paris, France, read the story of the Nativity.
