Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Chi Omega social sorority will hold its annual tree trimming party from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. tomorrow at the chapter house. The pledge class will provide the entertainment.

Sigma Nu social fraternity entertained Delta Gamma social sorority at an informal dinner at the fraternity's chapter house Friday.

To announce the pinning a poem was read by Daneen Streeter, Independence, Mo; Janetha Schmalzried, Dighton, and Carol Ann Huston, Kansas City, Mo. All are sophomores.
Miss Stephenson's attendants were Norma Nordyz, Kansas City, Mo. sophomore; Barbara Koger, Belle Plains junior; and Shirley Kubik, Caldwell junior.

Although mince pie originated in England, no American Christmas dinner is complete without a mince pie for dessert. Here is a recipe that uses already-prepared mincemeat, making baking time much shorter.
Mince Pie
1 1-lb. jar mincemeat
2 cups thinly sliced apples
$\frac{1}{2}$ tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 recipe plain pastry
Combine mincemeat, apples,
lemon peel and juice; heat thoroughly.
Pour into a 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan; adjust top crust.
Sprinkle with a small amount of sugar and bake in moderately hot oven (400°) for 35 minutes.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Vance Eastwood of Independence, Mo., announceth the engagement of their daughter, Alice Louise, to Ronald Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Davis of Skia-took, Okla.
