Dr. Papacek is studying American civilization and literature at the University and she teaches German on the campus and in Lawrence city schools. Educated In Vienna "At present, I am teaching German to 29 grade school students as a part of an experiment," she said. Educated by Dr. Vienna Dr. Papacek was educated in Vienna where she attended grade school, high school, and the University of Vienna. She also has attended the Goethe Institute in Munich, West Germany, and has studied in Dublin, Ireland. "There are a few student houses, but most students live in different parts of the city." "In Europe, we don't have a secluded campus such as this for students," Dr. Papacek said. The most noticeable difference between Europe and the United States is the vastness of your country. Europe is more compact with quicker changes of landscape." Active In Drama For relaxation, she enjoys photography, drama, and music. While in Europe, she was active in the drama workshops sponsored by the Austro-American Institute for Education. "I like American hillbilly music, but I haven't had time to listen to many of the popular records." Dr. Papacek said. Most of her photography has been done in black and white, but she is now studying methods of taking colored pictures.
