27 Houses List Carnival Themes
Twenty-seven organized houses have announced booth themes for the annual Student Union Carnival from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
The themes include: Alpha Chi Omega, Warriors Come Stompin' for Alpha Chi Wampum; Delta Chi, Big Splash; Alpha Delta Pi, Ring Toss Game; Gertrude Selellids Pearson, Gertie's Jail House; Pi Kappa Alpha., Cigarette Cassino; Carruth-O-Leary, House of Wax; Alpha Tau Omega, Gambling Casino; Phi Kappa Psi, Dart Throwing; Lambda Chi Alpha. Admission to the Carnival is 50 cents a person or 75 cents a couple. Tickets for the booths will cost 10 cents. A dance will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Does Anybody Need A Good Tuxedo?
A recent classified ad in a small Kansas newspaper shows how one graduate gave his college days a more practical ending.
A mortarboard and long, billowing gown are not the only symbols marking college graduation.

Stevens Scholarship Fund Established
Chancellor Franklin D. Murphy said the Stevens fund now has approximately $1,200. Additions will be sought so that income alone will provide a significant scholarship in botany, for which no specific award now exists. The Endowment Association will be trustee.
The William Chase Stevens scholarship fund for an annual award to an outstanding student majoring in botany has been set up at the University. The scholarship will be in memory of Prof. Stevens, who died Oct. 1 at 94.
