KU Frosh Win 33-0 As Floyd Scores 3 TDs
Led by Homer Floyd, who scored three times, the KU freshman team downed the Air Force Academy by an impressive 33-0 score Saturday in Denver. ○
Flood tallied twice on long punt run backs and capped the first scoring drive of the young Jayhawks by driving over from the one yard line.
The frosh are undefeated so far this year. They opened up season play by downing the Kansas State yearlings, 18-13. The loss was the airmen's second in four games.
KU scored their first touchdown with 9:20 left in the first quarter when Floyd tallied from the one.
Duane McIntire took a 29 yard pass from quarterback Bob Marshall in the second quarter, for the second touchdown. McIntire converted to give the Jayhawkers a 13-0 lead at halftime.
A short pass from Brown to Marshall accounted for the next touchdown. Marshall wove his way through the Falcon secondary for fifty yards. John Walt converted to give the freshmen a 26-0 lead.
With the second half only two minutes old, Floyd took a reverse from Gaylon Brown and rambled 61 yards to the goal on a punt return.
Only 145 remained in the third quarter when Floyd took off on his second punt return. He galloped 85 yards to paydirt.

AAU Drops Wes Santee
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — (U.P.)—Whether Wes Santee, an fastest miler in history, will be eligible to compete in next year's Olympic games remained an open question today after his suspension by the Missouri - Valley A.A.U. Registration Committee.
The committee suspended Santee, now in the Marine Corps, yesterday after a hearing on charges he accepted too much expense money when he competed in California last summer. It was on June 4 last year that Santee set an American record of 4:00.6 for the mile at Compton, Calif.
Whether the suspension will last long enough to keep Santee out of the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne, Australia, was not made clear.
