The decathalon consists of the 100-meter dash, the 110-meter high hurdles, the 400-meter and 1500-meter runs, the long jump, Timmons said that the track department is interested in getting freshmen and sophomores out to compete in the new event. "We want guys who weren't great in high school, but were good all-around athletes. We want guys who are multi-skilled but not great in any one event," Timmons said.
