University Daily Kansan Page 5 Thursday, Nov. 18, 1954 VIC EATON Missouri Quarterback Turley, Larsen Traded to Yanks By Baltimore Bv UNITED PRESS The New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles have completed one of the biggest baseball deals in years with pitchers Bob Turley and Don Larsen going to the Yankees, and veteran outfielder Gene Woodling and pitcher Harry Byrd going to the Orioles, it was learned Wednesday from an authoritative baseball source. In addition to Woodling and Byrd, the Yankees will send two young catchers, believed to be Gus Triandos and Hal Smith, and three or four other players to the Orioles. At least two and possibly three others will come to the Yankees along with Baltimore's two outstanding pitchers.
