The theme of the ball this year is to be "suppressed desires," which leaves plenty of room for originality and variety in costumes. Prizes will awarded for the best costumes. The Beaux Art ball is sponsored by the department of architecture and the School of Fine Arts, but it is open to all students. The sponsoring groups are trying to make this costume ball an annual event on the KU campus, as it is on many campuses throughout the nation.
