"If the situation was talked over more frankly when the student first arrived, perhaps he would better understand what honor was expected of him." Mr. Alderson said. The discussion, a carry-over from the previous session, concerned the possibility of an honor system at KU. Elmer F. Beth, professor of journalism, cited the partial honor systems used in some classes in the Schools of Law and Engineering. He suggested that these schools might be a good starting place from which the trend could spread. Donald K. Alderson, assistant dean of men, suggested that perhaps a beginning at the first level, with the freshmen, might help. He thought this could be done by means of the freshman dorm counselors. Jack Heysinger, instructor in economics, said he believed the system should be started from the students themselves. Your Your Plymouth ... has a used car priced for you.
