A University Daily Kansan Page 8 Thursday, March 27, 1952 | Jay Janes Elect Officers 3rd Jayhawker Ready April 4th The third issue of the Jayhawker will be ready for students about Friday, April 4. It is planned to be the main feature issue of the four regular issues. A highlight of the issue will be a campus opinion poll in which about 600 persons contributed opinions on everything from entertainment to a favorite beer, smoke or book. Running tallies were kept, and the results are printed. The honorary and professional fraternities and sororities also will be featured in the spring issue. A photographic preview of spring fashions by students is added. There is also an eight-page, expanded party picture section with description. It article section includes religious emphasis used in with the recent Religious Emphasis week Along the sports line, there is a story of the Big Seven basketball season. It carries the team to the beginning of the NCAA playoffs. The issue also features the indoor track season. The regular features, such as the Big Wheels on the Campus section and the yellow pages, are included. Copies may be picked up at the information booth or at the Jayhawker office, 211 Journalism. Boyden, a leading proponent of the multiple origin theory of evolution, discussed the evolution of evolutionary mechanisms Tuesday afternoon. Boyden Discusses Evolution Theory Saying it was improbable that only one minute speck of life-giving matter was produced in two billion years, Dr. Boyden explained his ideas on the evolution of those factors that influence the evolutionary process. Dr. Boyden's theory allows for any number of starting points for the evolutionary process. A series of slides were shown and explained after the lecture. Tuesday night Dr. Boyden met with the "Evolutionists," a group of faculty members and research men in various science departments. A discussion was held dealing with problems of systematic zoology.
