PAGE SIX UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN, LAWRENCE, KANSAS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25, 1951 Home TV and patio parties call for pretty ensembles. The circle skirt and blouse, shown above, are typical of the costumes you can make yourself. Home TV And Patio Parties Throw Spot On Two And Three Piece Outfits At-home fashions have taken on new life. Television has thrown a spot-light on home entertaining and designers have come to realize that women want to look as glamorous as the fashionable beauties reflected on the screens of their TV sets. The trend for special TV clothes has rocketed sky high and a new fashion pace has been set for separates that add up to a variety of excitingly versatile fashions. The stores have festive fabrics and so many enchanting variations on the skirt and blouse theme that any woman can select individual and flattering styles for herself. The new hand print organdy circle skirts can be made quickly and easily at home. They're a bright new version of circles with dramatic motifs hand-printed on washable organdy. Worn as an overskiirt over a sheath or simple dress, these skirts have the right note of informal dress-up elegance for television nights, canasta parties and dinners on the patio. Paired with a strapless camisole, a halter, a bare-armed or bare-necked blouse, they have unlimited possibilities for on-the-town excitement. One or two of these skirts makes a whole wardrobe for after-five gaiety. For those who love to buy pretty things, there are ready-to-wear skirts made by some of the leading designers. These are already teamed with blouses, camisoles and sheaths which can be used as underneath fashions or double as another evening outfit. Van Meter-Burkman Engagement Told Mr. and Mrs. L. S.
