Home TV And Patio Parties Throw Spot On Two And Three Piece Outfits
At-home fashions have taken on new life.
Television has thrown a spot-light on home entertaining and designers have come to realize that women want to look as glamorous as the fashionable beauties reflected on the screens of their TV sets.
The trend for special TV clothes has rocketed sky high and a new fashion pace has been set for separates that add up to a variety of excitingly versatile fashions.
The stores have festive fabrics and so many enchanting variations on the skirt and blouse theme that any woman can select individual and flattering styles for herself.

Van Meter-Burkman Engagement Told
Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Van Meter, Ada, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol Lynn, to Reuben Burkman, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Burkman, Garrison.
Miss Van Meter is a senior at Kansas State college. Mr. Burkman is a freshman in the School of Medicine and a member of Phi Chi medical fraternity.
Plans are being made for a September wedding.
Umberger-Carlos Engagement Told
Dr. and Mrs. G. M. Umberger, Harveyville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dona Jean, to Mr. Paul F. Carlos, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Carlos, Chanute.
Both are College seniors. Miss Umberger is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta at Washburn university and Mr. Carlos is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Fitzpatrick-Hannah Pinning Announced
Alpha Chi Omega announces the pinning of Miss Sharon Fitzpatrick, Lawrence to Jerry W. Hannah, Lvons, April 19.
Miss Fitzpatrick wore an orchid corsage, Misses Riss Abercrombie, Donna Cathers, and Dorothy Freeman were the attendants and wore corsages of feathered white carnations with centers of contrasting roses. The house mothers, Mrs. F. L. MacCreary and Mrs. Onita Miller wore red sweetheart rose corsages.
Miss Fitzpatrick is a sophomore in the school of fine arts. Mr. Hannah is a junior in the college and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
James E. Irby Elected President Of Spanish Club
James E. Irby, college junior, was elected president of El Ateneo, Spanish club, April 19. Other officers elected were; Antonio Pun Kay, executive advisor; Raymond Berry, vice-president; Veda Russell, secretary; Carl Tongier, treasurer; Elizabeth Banker, James Benefiel, and Elizabeth Hille, refreshments committee.
