The parking office has been moved from Old Fowler shops to inside the center entrance of Robinson gymnastium. Don Alderson, chairman of the parking committee, said that remodeling work of the Old Fowler shops building made the move necessary.

Petroleum Engineering Display Features Scale Model Drilling Rig
A model drilling rig will be featured in the petroleum engineer's display at the engineer's exposition this weekend.
The drilling rig, which stands approximately three feet high, is a scale model of the type used in Kansas because of the shallowness of the wells. The rig is run by a small electric motor, and the parts move just as do the parts of an actual drilling rig.
A drilling rig has two purposes; to break up the material down in the well, and to remove the fractured material. The drilling rig accomplishes the first purposes of having tools suspended on a cable which are alternately raised and lowered, breaking the reservoir rock. The second purpose is accomplished by means of a bailer, a cylinder-shaped object with a system of valves, which raises the material and does not allow it to drop back into the well.
There will also be a demonstration on the preparation and testing of drilling muds. These muds are used with the rotary drilling rig to pick up material in the well, lubricate the cable, and regulate the amount of pressure in the well. The famous gusher of moving pictures is no longer seen in actual drilling if the muds are prenamed correctly.
