Mr. McMurry was graduated from Mullinville high school and attended Kansas State Teachers college, Pittsburg, and Ft. Scott Junior college. He served in the marine corps for $3^{1/2}$ years as an instrument flight instructor.
Mr. McMurry's wife and two children are living in Greensburg until they can obtain housing in Lawrence.
C. Dale McMurry has accepted a position as firemanship training instructor with University Extension. Mr. McMurry was formerly with the Hutchinson fire department.
He was selected from a group of eight candidates to replace Ronald L. Russell who has returned to active duty with the navy.
