Police Still Searching For Clothesline Thief
Lawrence police are still on the lookout for the elusive thief who specializes in women's "umnentionables". Striking in broad daylight, the mystery man steals from clothes lines only panties and bras, and then goes on his way with bulging pockets.

Women of Hopkins hall caught a glimpse of him on Nov. 11, as he was slinking around trees and gardens in the backyard of Monchonys hall. Before they were able to frighten him away, however, his arms were loaded with loot from the Monchonys line. The girls described him as "medium height, medium coloring, wearing a red shirt."
A man was frightened off the Monchonsia hall fire escape at 1 a. m. Sunday morning by the somewhat hysterical occupants of the hall.

Bent Mountain, Va. —(U,P)— The shriveled body of a groundhog with teeth three inches long was found near here by Melvin Clements. The animal had succeeded in breaking off one of its lower teeth but an upper tooth was growing down its throat, causing it to starve to death.
