Following an intercepted pass, tailback Frank McCollough, Beta, completed four consecutive strikes, the last a 15 yard heave to Don Smith in the end zone. Don Stickrod kicked the extra point to make the score Sigma Chi 8, Beta 7. A tightened Sigma Chi pass defense, and a charging line kept the Beta's deep in their own territory throughout the final period.
