The film based on a folk legend, deals with a young artist struggling to find the relationship between ideals in art and realities in life. Money Voted By Foundation For Lectures And Casebooks The newly elected executive board of the William Allen White foundation voted Monday to allocate a preliminary amount not to exceed $10,000 for the financing of lectures and the assembling and publication of problem casebooks. These casebooks are to be used These casebooks are to be used as texts and for laboratory work in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Public Information and other journalism schools throughout the United States. The board also voted to lend the support of the foundation to any seminars for newspapermen that the School of Journalism may decide to sponsor. This action was in response to a request that Burton W. Marvin, dean of the School of Journalism, together with the school and the foundation, take the leadership in setting up such seminars. This request was made at a meeting of the Second district of the Kansas Press association held at the University in October. The board of trustees will meet annually on Feb. 10, the birthday of the late Emporia editor and author. The members of this board will be announced at a later time.
