The CIO United Auto Workers today set a strike deadline of Thursday, Sept. 29, against the Ford Motor company unless fourth-round economic demands are met. UAW Ford Strike May End Thursday UAW President Walter P. Reuther gave Ford notice of intent to cancel his union's contract at that time.
