Braves' Earl Torgeson To Undergo Operation Boston, May 16—(U.P.)—First baseman Earl Torgenson of the Boston Braves today prepared to enter the hospital for an operation on the left shoulder he injured in a game against Brooklyn Saturday night. agBnss Dennis Joseph H. Shortell said he would operate Wednesday on the shoulder separation, and that Torgeson will be lost to the Braves "for the best part of a couple of months."
