Management Group Tours Auto Plant

Amazement at the planning and scheduling behind the assembly operation was the general result of the field trip to the Ford assembly plant in Kansas City by 42 members of the Society for the Advancement of Management.
The group toured the sub and main assembly lines, watching processes using small parts shipped from Detroit, until a completed car rolled off the line.
The trip was arranged by Warren Mitchell.
Ted Hanske, vice-president, said another trip has been scheduled for January to Proctor and Gamble in Kansas City. The meeting Wednesday will feature Perrin McElroy, newly-elected public administrator of Kansas City, as the guest speaker. The meeting will be held in the recreation room of the Union.
