Piano Recital Will Be Nov.1
Jan Chiapusso, pianist, will present a recital at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov.
1, in Hoch auditorium.
His program will feature numbers from Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Debusy and Ravel. It will be open without charge to the public.
Mr. Chiapasso, has been professor of piano and music history at the University since 1939. He came here in 1944 from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Chiapuso is a graduate of the Cologne conservatory and has made concert tours in both Europe and the United States. He has taught master classes in Honolulu, and at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, Calif.

DIRECT COMMISSION
A commission as second lieutenant in the Officers' Reserve Corps with a 2-year initial tour of active duty is ready for you if you meet these requirements: one year of honorable service in any of the Armed Forces between 7 December 1941 and 30 June 1947; have completed two years at an accredited college or university; U. S. citizenship; AGCT score of
110 or better; not more than 32 years old; physically fit. Once commissioned; you'll be assigned to a 3-month officers' training school, and, on successful completion, you'll be free to compete for a Regular Army Commission if you meet the competitive tour age requirements.
