Invitations Are Sent For Relays
Preliminary invitations to the 23rd annual Kansas Relays were mailed to 250 schools this week. The Relays will be held on Saturday, April 17, following the high school meet on Friday.
The Kansas Relays is the only meet in the country to include the decathlon in its card of events, and three other A. A. U. events have been added to the list. They are the 440-yard hurdles, the 3,000 meter steeplechase, and the hop, step, and jump. All four will be open to A. A. U. competition.
Extreme emphasis will be placed on the Glenn Cunningham Mile, which will be run this year at 1500 meters to aid in Olympic preparation.
University relays and individual winners will be awarded Kansas Relay wrist watches; college division winners will receive desk clocks; all second, third and fourth-place winners will be given special Kansas Relays medals.

A new electric footwarmer for beds is designed to maintained a warmth of 105 degrees throughout the night.
12 New Zones Will Ease Parking
The parking committee has created 12 new 20-minute parking zones by cutting down on the number of passenger leading zones and the number of visitor's zones, J. A. Trovillo, chairman, said today.
The new 20-minute zones will be clearly distinguished from visitor's zones by markings on the top and face of the curb with an orange strip on either side of the lettering.

"Composition in Photography" was the subject of a discussion by Raymond J. Eastwood, associate professor of drawing and painting, at a meeting of the Camera Club Tuesday.
Eastwood Speaks To Camera Club
James E. Joliff, president, announced that arrangements had been made for temporary use of a darkroom. He said that membership in the Camera Club is open to anyone interested in photography and that meetings have been planned for those desiring to learn.
