PAGE TEN UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN, LAWRENCE, KANSAS MONDAY, DECEMBER 8,194 Middlebush Sends Wire Chancellor Deane W. Melott and President Frederick A. Middlebush of the University of Missouri exchanged compliments over the week end and apparently ended their feud over President Middlebush's 10-yard line seat at the K.U.-MU game. Chancellor Malott thanked President Middlebush and called the telegram an example of the "good sportsmanship that has characterized M.U.-K.U. relations for many years." The chancellor's wire said, "I am sure that our coaches and football squad will feel keenly that they represent the Big Six at the Orang-owl and will do their best to give a good account of themselves. We look forward to a continuation of the keen and friendly rivalry which makes the M.U.-K.U. contests the finest possible events on our sports calendar." President Middlebush sent Chancellor Malott a telegram Friday congratulating the University on its Orange Bowl invitation and the selection of Ray Evans as a member of Collier's 1947 All-American football team.
