3 Annual May Festival Observed At Corbin Hall Yesterday Evening Corbin hall held its annual May festival yesterday evening. Because of the rain, the picnic supper was served inside the hall. The festival centered around the theme of "A Reception for Will Scarlet and His Bride." Will Scarlett, Mary Turkington, College junior, and his bride, Barbara Esmond, fine arts freshman, appeared in costume. Elsie Thompson, College junior, acted as jester throughout the evening. Women Among Small Group To Receive Honor Two University women who received the scholarship award certificates given by Sigma Delta Chi, professional journalistic fraternity, were chosen with only 77 others throughout the country. They are Ruth Tippin and Jeanne Shoemaker, who received their awards at the Kansan board dinner last Thursday. Three men and 74 women qualified for the distinction in universities over the United States by having established scholastic ratings placing them in the upper ten per cent of their graduating classes.
