TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1942 UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN, LAWRENCE, KANSAS PAGE THREE New Year's Party Is Elaborate, Informal Tickets and reservations for the Country Club party New Year's Eve are going like hotcakes. The Phi Gams have already bought a block of 11 tables. Refreshments and entertainment will be of the best available. Each person is entitled to two sandwiches, a coke, and a bag of popcorn or potato chips with the ticket, and extras will be sold. The entertainment was chosen by a committee who looked over all available entertainment in Kansas City. and chose what seemed best to them. Prof. Allen Crafton will be master of ceremonies. Dress will be informal, and after the extended vacation, students will feel like celebrating more than ever. The most elaborate party of this year and next will be held a week from Thursday night. It is the custom for only those who attend late parties to have late closing hours, so those who do not attend the County Club will probably have to be in by 12:30, according to Miss Meguiar.
