PAGE EIGHT UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN, LAWRENCE, KANSAS TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1941. News From Page One URGES ENROLLMENT (continued from vage one) these requirements are asked to apply also. To be accepted for training each applicant must pass a physical examination and agree to enter either the army or navy air force on completion of his work. All men who have completed the training in the past will be urged to join the services. This action was decided upon in a meeting of the program coordinators of the Fifth region held in Kansas City, Mo., Saturday. Brush said the coordinators agreed that in the future local draft boards would be notified of the "washing out" and of the graduation of trainees, so that such men can be drafted for other service if they do not enlist. At present official statistics reveal that in the Naval air force only 5 per cent of the pilots who have received C.P.T.P. training have failed to complete their training in that branch, while 35 per cent of the non-C.P.T.P. applicants have failed. It was also planned, Brush said, to accept one married trainee with each quota of 10, providing he agree to take additional training to qualify as a flight instructor. Brush said that students who pass the C.P.T.C. physical examination are practically assured of passing the service examinations. Wahl Will Discuss Medics In Current World Crisis H. R.
