Popular Kiddie Coat A New Fashion Feature By Virginia Gray, c'41 Kansan Society Editor Remember the unadorned and unpretentious navy blue reefer of your younger days? That reefer is entering your adult life this season and promises to be the most popular light weight coat this spring. These good substantial coats are made of plain navy, checked, striped wool or heathery treeds, with navy winning the popularity contest. Some are single breasted with brass buttons; others are single breasted, trim- $ ^{4} $ others are single breasted med with shining braid. Full Swagger Back One of the most charming of the reefers is made with a full swagger back, snugly caught at the waist with a trim half belt. A dressier coat, fashioned on reefer lines, has a ripple skirt made in pink and black checked English woolen and features the new hugh patch pockets. That sports classic, the polo cont. will be again with us this spring. Its big pockets, smart lines, and snug wrap-around belt have made it a favorite of co-eds everywhere. New Silhouette Job For dressier occasions, a new silhouette in coats is offered. These coats, beautifully tailored with collariess, necklines and full belted fronts, are made of smooth woolens in the new pastel colors and worn with harmonizing print dresses. Many a thrifty co-ed will buy one of the new three-piece suits with a long top coat, either tailored or trimmed with fur, and thereby gain a new suit as well as a light weight coat to wear over dresses until warm spring weather arrives.
