Geology Survey To Aid Farmers And Stockmen An attempt is being made to aid the farmers and stockmen in that area who lack sufficient water for their livestock. Because of the difficulty of finding water in the limestone and shale formations there are few good wells in these counties. The residents have depended on pond water, which because of drought, no longer supplies their needs. The geologists merely study the formations and point out the likely locations; the farmers must drill their own wells and supply their own materials. Department of Entomology Gets Water-bug Collection The department of entomology has just received a shipment of water-bugs of various types from northeastern Manchuria. The shipment contained 500 to 1,000 bugs, many of which are new in the field of science. Started in the '60's by Dr. F. H. Snow, former chancellor of the University, the collection is one of the most complete of new world insects owned by any university in America. Each year the department adds from 35,000 to 50,000 bugs to the collection. Sandwiches a Specialty Tender Tenderloins Fountain Drinks The FERRY 1031 Mass.
