Runs String To 22 By Downing Oklahoma,37-35 Norman, Okla., Feb. 21.-The Oklahoma Aggies racked up their twenty-second consecutive victory here last night when they defeated Oklahoma, 37 to 35, before a crowd of 7,000. It was an electrifying shot by Howard Doyle with only 10 seconds to go that gave the Cowboys the game. Marvin Mesch scored 11 points and Jimmy McNatt 10 to pace the Sooners in their losing battle. T.N.T. Cagers Win Independent Title Championship of the independent teams was won by T.N.T. as they crowded out the Independents, 19 to 18, last night. Miller hall downed Sigma Kappa, 28 to 14, on the adjacent court. Eunice Nielson boosted the Miller hall score 16 points. The last games between the organized houses will be played by Kappa Alpha Theta and Alpha Omicron Pi and Alpha Chi Omega and Chi Omega Thursday at 9 p.m. T. N.T. will play the champion of the organized houses for the basketball supremacy. r. F. C. Allen To Speak At Council Grove Tonight "The Last Half Determines the Score" is the title of an address child. Dr. F. C. Allen, Jayhawk basketball coach, will deliver at the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet in Council Grove at 7 o'clock tonight. The banquet honors the football and basketball teams of Council Grove High School. Narcotic Agents Raid Local 'Den' Federal Narcotic officers and members of the Douglas county sheriff's office raided a used car lot at eighth and Connecticut streets last night and arrested three Lawrence men on violation of both federal and state narcotic laws. No charges have yet been filed, Sheriff Charles Banning said today. Banning commented that the arrest was a result of several months of investigation and involved falsified descriptions. The raid was at 6 o'clock yesterday. Those arrested were Harry Mintier, Elmer Batson and George Weyermueller. Quill Club Meets To Fill vacancy Left by Leo Freed An election will be held by the Quill Club tomorrow evening for new members and to fill the place f Chancellor Leo Freed, who reigned when he completed plans to move to Oregon. 'Holiday' Try-Out In Green Tonight Tryouts for the next Dramatic Club play "Holiday" will start tonight at 7:30 at the little theater in Green hall, according to Rolla Nuckles, director of the show. The tryouts for the play are open to all students and will probably be continued on Thursday. The cast of the modern comedy by Phillip Barry has seven male and five female parts which will be filled by students. The play opens in Fraser theater, April 8, for a four night run and will later be taken to Wichita University for one night. "Holiday is by the same author who wrote "Spring Dance" another comedy presented with a great deal of success by the Dramatic Club three years ago and still remembered by student theater-goers. Louis Troy, 32, Lawrence Negro, admitted shooting and killing another Negro, Erne Harris, when Harris threatened him with a knife and axe last night about 7:30 at Troy's home at 1305 New Jersey street. Negro Kills Friend After Arqument The shooting culminated an argument during which Harris was drinking according to Troy's statement. He said that he had used the 12-guage shotgun in self-defense. A coroner's inquest is tentatively slated to be held at 9:30 tomorrow morning in the Douglas county courthouse, Dr. L. K. Zimmer, county coroner, said this afternoon. Aviation Students Take Air Today The 50 elementary flight training students, who have been grounded for the past three weeks because of bad weather, will be permitted to fly at the municipal airport today, according to an announcement by Prof. E. D. Hay, head of the flight training. As long as the weather is clear, the students are allowed to fly any day in one of the five government planes. There is a government instructor for each plane. In order to become a licensed pilot, a student must have 35 hours of solo flying as well as a passing grade on the Civil Aeronautical Authority examination, March 2. Those who are eligible for the federal exam are attending review sections in the ground school under the direction of Prof. Howard Henry and Prof. Ralph Tait of the department of mechanical engineering.
