The dance was preceded by a buffet supper at the chapter house. The theme carried out in the decorations was of a spring garden. Lattice work with flowers and artificial green leaves entwined decorated the walls and the orchestra stand. At one end of the ballroom was a bubbling fountain surrounded by flowers and green grass. Clyde Smith and his orchestra furnished music for dancing and Barbara Edmonds, c'40, sang several popular numbers during the evening.
