Registration plan succeeds

KU political groups attract 1,500 new voters

Campus political groups were able to get more than 1,500 students to apply for voter registration during fee payment this year.
Kelly Milligan, the campus director of the Associated Students of Kansas at the University of Kansas, members of the Student Senate and others began a campaign to register student voters outside Hoe Auditorium during fee payment last week. The election will be held on Oct. 18, which is the deadline for registering for the general election Nov. 8.
