With two minutes of play, remaining the Cornhuskers came within one point of tying the score but a free throw by Johnson and one by Gray proved to be more than the winning margin as the game ended with Kansas on the long end of the 32 to 29 score. The starting five composed of Harrington and Wells, forwards, Johnson, center, and Schauke and Vaux, guarded the end. The defense was a little faulty but several times Wells was able to slip through for defense. The defense in the first half was almost perfect.
