Grace, assistant vice-president of the Bell Telephone Laboratories, will present a demonstration lecture of some wonders of modulation at 8 o'clock. The lecture is under the auspices of the University's School of Engineering and Architecture. Dean George C. Shad has just sent invitations to engineering firms of this part of the state, and Kansas City, Mo. to attend. Mr. Grace will demonstrate a device for "verbalizing" speech, so that radio waves can be sent to a finger visible to all but the one with the properly assumed receiver; an artificial body that can talk through its electric wire out sound; a dial telephone that gives its message in words and an amplifier that amplifies the jaw muscles sound like dart throws.
