Mrs. Hillreich A. Rider, of Springfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Willard M. Benton, of Kansas City, Kan., were dinner guests at the Alpha Della PI house last night.
Dinner guests at the Sigma Chi chi house last night were: Myrra Little, Margaret Mize, Miss Mary Jenkinson, and Prof. Robert Calderwood.
Alpha Kappa Pa will entertain with a formal dance tomorrow evening in the Country Club where colored tulips are to be used for decorations. Mrs. C. H. Lankes, Mrs. Corrente Pommel and Mrs. J. H. Chaucer homespun, are to be the chapensers.

Sigma Phi Epilion is giving its annual spring dinner dance tomorrow evening from 7 until 1. Following dinner at Wiedemann's room, dining hall, or theater, the Musical Masters, of Kansas City, will play for the dancing. Cut spring flowers are to be used for decorations. Dean and Mrs. Henry Wermer, Mrs. Gertrude Sowell, and Mrs. C. B. Lean, housemaid, are to be the dancers.
Out-of-town guests for the party are Lieut. Jean Kruse and Lieut. Julian Joplin, of Riiley.

Alpha Chi Omega is entertaining with an informal dance tomorrow evening at the Eldridge hotel. The chaperones are to be Mrs. M.W. F. Bower-tennessee, Mrs. H. J. Goodwin, Mr. Baldwin, and Mrs. Frances Goodell, housemester.
The alumni of Kappa Kappa Gamma are entertaining the chapter with a new feature, the "Kappa Hill" this evening. The picnic is given each year on a lawsew to the senior class.
When Delta Sigma Rho, honorary debate fraternity, hold its annual initiation lunch last night at Wiedemann's tea room, these students were initiated: Margaret Plummer, of Newton; Betty Arnold, of Hickurion; Christine Rupp, of Mountaineer; Korneah Morris, of Jack Morris, of Kansas City.
An election of officers resulted in the
selection of the following: President,
Prodrick Anderson, of Kansas City;
vice president, Josephine Blinder, of
Boston; and secretary-fracer, Jack Morris.
Rice Larsen, of Garrett, the toastmaster of the evening, introduced these professors who spoke: Prof. E. C Buckler, Prof. Ann Craffon, Dean K Eric Moss, Professor M. Ferguson, T. Walker. The institutes gave short *mpromulate* disputats.
A hayrack ride will be sponsored by the University Foundation of the University of Texas at Austin. The ride will start from the McMullen church at Trent and Verizon.
Square and Company, national Masonic fraternity, held its faunadem day banquet Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Banquet, a lecture on the "Symbolism of Mismony" was delivered by Geo. O. Foster, grand junior warrior of the ground judge of Kauai and registrar of the court of the great guest present was Horace W. Hatkina, B.S.27, of Kauai City. Two honorary members, Frank P. Smith, and John N. Johnson, were present. Places were 13th, 18th, 19th, and 21st in teammaster.
Goldsmith to Speak Here
Former Professor of Architecture I Conducting Lecture Tour
Prof. Goldwin Goldsmith, former head of the University department of the Institute for Architectural department at the University of Texas, will deliver an address to the Texas
Professor Goldsmith, who is well known in architecture in a borough throughout the Southwest, under the auspices of the American institution of The University.
He will visit the local department all day on his stop here, speaking at the Lawrence Memorial High School in the morning and delivering an address at the University at 4:30 in the afternoon. The address is given on "Everyday Life." The address will be delivered in the auditorium of central Administration building.
'OREAD WATER CARNIVAL'
TO BE PRESENTED TONIGHT
The first annual "Oread Water Carnival" presented by students of Oread High School, will be hosted by Coach Herbert Alphin, will be brought tonight in Robinson pool at 8
The swimming class giving the program is coequency of 30 boys between the age of 14 and 17. Life saving, fancy diving, stunts, and a polo game will make up the pro-activity of the class. Spectators should enter through the women's entrance of the pool.

Mulholland called the police from a farmhouse, and three police cars were in search of the other three unidentified robbers heard from. By doing this, Mulholland committed a breach of the underworld code, and the gang returned for vengeance.

Monday evening Muhlbullah was returning from the Jayhawk café with Philip Keeler, c32; Joe Kneike, c33; and James McCormack. Two masked men jumped on the running board and ordered the students to drive to highway Number 73. Here Muhlbullah was inked down a sidewalk and entered the police station to mention the incident to the police.
Last night, Mullahbel, accompanied by "Chick" Gress, bus 30, started for the Sigma Kappa Home for Women streets his car was stopped by several masked men, who ordered the two to get out, forced them to move back to the stadium, Mullahbel was relieved of his trousers and much dignity, and was told that his suit would be violent lead poisoning would set in shortly. Gress was taken to highway Number 40, and was pushed out of his car three miles north of Lawrence.
Mulholland returned home a la track about midnight. He told members of his house that he had again been killed by the police time he obeyed the orders of the gangsters, and the police have not been there so far so far they flee to be "put on the spot."
