Tennis Team Defeats Missouri for Second Time Squad Will Meet K-Aggies and Cornhuskers Friday and Saturday KANSAS RECORD GOOD The Kansas tennis team team continued its series of Big Six victories by taking its second 1930 triumph over Missouri at Columbia yesterday, by winning two matches. Culaint Lahore of Missouri won the only victory for the Tigers. The summaries: Hurd, Kansas, won from Lingue, Missouri, 6-2; 1-6, Proiser, Kansas, won from Thielekus, Missouri, 6-2; 8-6, O'Leary, Kansas, won from Johnson, Missouri, 6-0; 1-4, Proiser, Kansas, won from Sager, Kansas, 6-3; 9-11, 6-1, O'Leary and Proiser, Kansas, won from Lingue and Thielekus, Missouri, 6-1; 6-4 and Hurd and Sager, Kansas, won from Landis and Phlegas, Missouri, 1-4; 6-4 This makes a total of 15 victories for Kansas out of 18 matches to date. Coach R. W. Smith will drive to Manhattan with the team Friday, May 9. Kansers will go to the University of Nebraska, May 10. The Jayhawkers should win from the Agesies since the Agesies tied with Missouri, 3-4. With Nebraska, they beat Kansas and Huskers winning by a close margin, since they beat Missouri in a clean sweep of six matches, while Kansas has been playing Missouri only five out of COEN IS OUT OF AUSTRIAN MATCH WITH INJURED LEC "Junior" Coen f, 52, who has been doubling with William T. Tilden, was recently forced to default in the Austrian championship tennis matches and is now competing against matches at Progue because of a badly twisted muscle in his right leg. He has returned to Paris for a week's rest and is expected to be in shape for the French championship matches next week. Swimmers to Camp Washita The fifth annual Life, Saying and Swimming Institute, sponsored by the Kansas City chapter of the American Red Cross will be held at Camp Washburn in St. Louis, where men and women, Instructions will be offered in American Red Cross Life saving camps, as well as summer camps. Swimming technique analysis of strokes, elementary diving, cane handling, water games, snorkeling, races, and grading will be taught. The meet will start promptly at 10 a.m. due to the Nebraska intercolonial meet which takes place that afternoon at the University of North Dakota champions of 1929 and the indoor champions of 1930. "Nebraska has not lost a dual meet for several years and of course dope favors them, but we are doing it with pride," Coach Saturdays," said Coach Brutt Hamilton this morning Coach Hamilton further said, "I will not concede the game." He would give them a run for their money. Every man on the Kansas team has been improving from day to day and the next week he will give each individual a real real." Nebraska won over Missouri in a dual meet last week 98 to 33 and succeeded in walking over the Sooner in the NCAA tournament with a large score. In fact they have defeated every team in the Big Six except K. U. and the K-Angles who they have not Ralph Sickel, who was in the University hospital Sunday and Monday, is in a somewhat weakened condition since his recent fall in the 100-yard dash at Linein Saturday. Coach Hamilton is yet undecided as to whether Sickel will enter Tuesday. Only two more meets are yet to be run off after the meet with Nebraka Saturday. They are: KU, vs. MSA.
