Inspectors from the Lawrence Fire Department and the state fire marshal's office will finish checking the 12 sororites today and will inspect the 23 fraternities through next week, Clark Brubaker, deputy state fire marshal, said. Brubaker said although he knew many rooming rooms in Lawrence and throughout his seven-county region could be fire hazards, more attention was given to fraternities and sororities because they housed more people. Fire safety progress approved Bruaker met with Interfraternity Council to challenge last night to restore type specimens.
