Senior Team Wins Class Tournament With Clean Slate

The senior women's basketball team won its final game last night in downing the juniors, 50 to 28. The freshmen, 61 to 34, came in at 16. These games ended the tournament with the seniors at the top with a score of 149-117. The third and fourth, third and fourth, fourth
The games were followed by a feed of eskimo pikes and sandwiches, after which the teams elected their captains for next year. The freshmen elected Helen Lawson; the sophomores, Ruth Burrows and the juniors, Larry Wrissman.

All staff with sophomore team were not able to play their first round. Fine Arts residual, and the senior tube attitudes, Speed, Brunner, and Shaffer.*

Alpha Gamma Delta Wins From Alpha Chi Omega
The intramural volleyball tournament started last night with the Alpines Gamma Della team winning from the Alpha Chi Omega team, 35 to 25. The championship game by 1-minute rule rather than by full games, as is the men's.
Edwards and Robert played well on the Alpha Chi team and Smith and Bellencoe were outstanding on the Alpha Gamma Delta team.

In Unusual Feat
Jane Founta, 17-year-old Chicago girl who won national championship in the Iowa upstate basketball. The fact that the two events were combined and both won in the course of 8 hours made the performance particularly impressive.
Basketball Record Falls
Senior Women Win Every Game in Four Years
The senior women's basketball team last night established a record new to the University by winning the last four years of consistent victories.
In all their four years of playing they have never lost a game and only tied their first one when they played the freshman team this year.
This uncompeted team has been captured by Helen Fieln, ck29, throughout its career. Miss Fieln has won the team's most consistent team for three years. Freshmen are ineligible for positions on it. Mack of the team's success has been due to her skillful playing as center in getting the tip-off.
Charlotte Harper, ed20, another outstanding member of the team, has divided high point scores with Miss Fikitin in all moments, and has won a record of consecutive years. Her short, hard passing has gone much toward winning many games for the team. Miss Harper has reached the sophomore team this year.
Hilary Church, c29, is another member who has been with the team, and has made the variety for two years. Gertrude Dalton, ed29, was out of school last year, but this year played in the third round and made the variety for the second time this year. Other members of the squair are Elizabeth Short, c29; Irene Curtin, ed29; Vera Faye Stoops, c29; John Holm, Edna Brammer, c29; Holen Stafer, c29.
The team's sophomore year was its most successful. Jean Elliott, fc29, of St. Louis played well, but that year, was on the team, Miss Elliott had played with Miss Fikin in their high school team, and those two players were also part of the team in the most spectacular playing of its career. In almost all the games he played, he bled the scores of his opponents.
With decorations suggestive of spring, with the Goodrich Silvertown Orchestra playing the music, and with the closing hour set by special permission at 2 a.m. m., the musicians begin to play "the really big party of the year."
Athletic Sorority Will Pledge Three Saturday
Alpha Sigma Nu, honorary physical education sorority will pledge three new members tomorrow night in Robinson gymnastics. The requirements for membership in Alpha Sigma Nu include passing a six-week schoollessly an "A" average in all required gymnastics work and positions on at least two major sport teams. The present members must be active on the sportsmanship qualification.
The present members are Elizabeth Short, c23, and Helen Finklin, c29. Those to be poled please be Lola Meyers, c30, and Laurie Whitsman, c30, and Laurie Whitsman, ed30.
Tennis Courts Now Open to Faculty and Students
The tennis courts are now open for play, and students can attend the University of Dayton's institution to tell Daytonian custom of the courts. Davison will be available with others, as there will probably be a large number of students desires of playing tennis with the advance of students.
Courts will be kept in good shape and students are urged not to track themselves. They should keep the rents. Davison promises to keep the courts in good shape if student rights are protected.
Two of the courts were used last evening by students who were wishing to get an early start in spring practice.
Molyin Geist, fa23, will appear in the second of a series of senior reflections on 8 p.m. in central Administration auditions. He will be assisted by Dorothy Kusteres, fa20, violinist. S. Greene, Katherine Dunn, will present Fine Arts, will accommodate Geist.
According to Prof. D. M. Swartz, dean of the School of Fine Arts, he will teach various courses in the school. Glen is ten scholar at the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Chicago and Mu Alum, honorary musical fraternity. He is a pupil of Prof. Eugene

Woman Aspires to Be Manager of Featherweight Boxing Champ

Detroit, Mich., — (UP). The most featherweight champion of the world may be managed by a woman, at any age. Griner, Detroit's first and only woman write fight manager. The leading champion is, if not first country, Griner. Griner's stable of three fighters
Mr. Greiner was first drawn into an active role in baiting back fish from the lake and then moved to N. Y., and abducted an amateur diver who had gone missing during an emergent winter with the eastern tide division. She induced him to come to Detroit and become a full-fledged angler.
She later added two other presenting fighters, Johnny Coyne and Petie Basset. She recently applied for a trade on the Strike Boxing Commission.

Tryouts to determine who will resent the University in the Illinois relay, March 16, will be run off St. Louis, at stadium, as coaches to Coach Huff.
"It is planned to have trial heats in the dachs and long distances runner's stadium," Hoff said. "I also want to try out several men to run in a muley relay, which I have seen."
Those representing the University at Urbana will be announced immei distantly following the trounce.
Colleges and universities from all over the country will be included in this meet, which is considered one of the major events of the track season.
Sig Alpha and Delta Tau Out of Intramural Race
The standings of organizations in
intramural sports will be affected by the supervision of the two fraternities and the fact that some of them come of an intramural basketball game only in that those two will be allowed to play. The faculty member, a professor of physical education and director of the intramural sports, and to coach.
Although the names of the two fraternities were not announced at the athletic office, it was learned that Delta Fiu Delta and Sigma Alpha Group were playing. The organizations were playing for the leadership of their division.
