Swarthout Directs Presbyterian Singers Students in the School of Fine Arts of the University will take part in the seventh earned concert of the School of Fine Arts of Prebysther church to be given tonight at 7:45, under the direction of D. M. Swainton, dean of the School The following persons will be the solitors for the occasion: Miss Louise Miller soprano; Miss Irene Penbady, soprano; Karl Kueversteel, violinist; Margaret McCarthy, Mountain, violinist; and Miss Fanny May Rose, pianist. All of the soloists are faculty members of the School of Fine Arts with the exception of Miss Grace *Keyard* and Fiake Mohns. Miss Grace is a senior in the School of Fine Arts. The program will include six anthems, a concerto for two violins, several ornam numbers and a number of guitar solos. The choir chair will be the famous "Inflammatus" from "Sabat Mater" by Rosinati, which will be sung by Miss In Society --your sole and heel and you save 50. The securities and fraternities report that a large number of their respective alumni will be their guest for farewells and commencement. A few have already arrived, and a large number are expected early this week. Guests at the Alpha DPi pi bases will include: Frances Keith, II; Dorothy George, II; Mary Alice Dren non, ex; 27, and Irene Murray, II. The Abba GH Omega alumna who will return are Lucie Evans, 25, and Dorothy Hofstott, 26. The Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter will entertain Erwett Scott, "26"; Mr and Mrs, Carl McAdams, Mrs, McCadden, and Mr. Haynes; and was in the class of "23". Haynes, and was in the class of "23". Pi chapter will remain for farewells and commencement, and will have the following guests: Icy Purcell, '20; Margaret Bolinger Jernn, '23; Mary Rose Barens, '25; and Katherine Koons, '25. Phi Omega Pi guests will include Grace Banta, '25; Margery Ashby, '24; and Hexter Skinner, '25. Eleanor Pringson, ex; and Madeline Jones, 25, will be guests at the Delta Zeta figure. Those who will be guests of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority include Gladys Bilderbuck "24"; Gladiys Berenson, "28"; and Margaret Thompson. Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity will have as its guests for farewell party Ashley Classen, Dallas, Texas. A number of the sororities report that their alumni have not yet been heard from, but that guests are expected later in the week. Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity will have the following guests for the farewell party; Mrs. Stanley Engel, Miss Honey, of Topeka, Miss Morrison, of Murhall, Mo., Mr. Blessing D. Gibbons, of St. Mary's, John Glendening, Miss Violet Markley, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Naylor, of Topeka. Dr. and Mrs. E. H. S. Bailey will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner, Wednesday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. They plan to make the event a family reunion as their sons will be home at that time. Dr. Bailey has been pro-educated in chemistry from the University since 1983 and director of the chemical laboratory since 1900. E. B, Shuktz, secretary of the Y. M. C. A., entertained the Advisory Board members of the University Y. M. C. A., at dinner last night at his home. The purpose was to report on the association here, this year. M. Shuktz, gave a report on the work and members of the board spoke. Donald A. Higgins, A. B. *23*, and a former assistant-instrumenter in the department of journalism was married Saturday in Europa to Dorothy E. Hammond, who is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Mr. and Mrs. Higgins will live in Kansas City, Mo., where Mr. Higgins is the assistant professor. The will spend two weeks in Bermuda before going to Kansas City. Announcement has been made for the engagement of Lonnie Clark, c'28, of Great Bend, to Otto J. Hartig, f'28, of Lawrence. Miss Clark is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and Phi Chi Theta. The country home of Prof. and Mrs. C, A. Presper on the Fort to Fort road was the scene of the picnic given Wednesday evening by the alumni chapter of Mu Phi for the active chapter. Games were played on the wide lawns around the house, and the picnic lunch was later served here Croquet, hiking, and ghost stories told by Mr. C., S. Skilton furnished entertainment for the evening. Guests of the chapter were Stewart Dickson, Professor and Mrs. W. B. Downing, and Mr. C. S. Skilton. The marriage of Miss Nadine Cox, who received a teacher's certificate in public school music in 23, and Fred Milliken, *i*24, took place Thursday at the University of New York. Little Church Around the Corner. Miss Cox has been in New York studying voice and is a member of the Gamma Kappa society being selling insurance. While in the University, Miss Cox was a member of Sigma Kappa security and of the Dramatic Club. Milliken is a Sigma Kappa leader who makes their home in New York City. The engagement has been announced of Miss Tresnaie May, A. B. 25 and Fred S. Montgomery, A. B. 25, according to a letter received by her parents. Ms. Montgomery and Alumni Association. Miss May has been teaching Spanish in the high school at Hoisington. As a few of her activities out there, she said she was been named the sponsor for the senior golf team. She also hosted Girl Reserves, and coached the player, played five conferences, organized a Spanish club, and teaches a Spanish class composed of the memoirs, fitness and Professional Women's Club. Miss May is a member of Torch the local chapter of Mortor Board Montgomery is a member of the Aca fraternity.
