Jayhawker Track Stars Will Enter Collegiate Events
Kansas to Be Represented by Grady, Doornbos and Rooney at Chicago
Three Kansas treck mon, Rooney Doornbos and Grady will enter the fifth annual Collegiate Association tournament in Chicago to field in Chicago June 11 and 12.
Grady will be entered in the 100 and 220 yard dashes. His best time in the 220 is 217.4 seconds. Grady runs in the 100 yard and runs in the valley he meets. He runs the 100 yards consistently in 9.9 and is considered the second best man in the valley in the dashes. Lock being the only man who is able to beat
Rooney to Enter Quarter

the 2nd half and probably in the 100- and 220-yard passes, in the valley meet Ryney pulled a leg muscle in the 100-yard dash and did not run it or hit a touchdown. Rooney, Wyatt, who ran in 437 seconds, the Nissan ex-captain is able to negotiate the distance regularly in 49 seconds, and had beaten Wyatt in several previous games.
Rouney participated in the meet in Chicago last year. He won first in his host in the preliminaries in the 220 and was sixth in the finals. He finished with a score of 419 yards and he is doped to win the event in the Chicago meet.
Doorbores to Run Hurdles
Doorbores, captain-assist, will compete in the 50-yard hurdle. "Cluck" runs the high sticks in about 15.4. He was second to Ed Weir of Nebraska in the valley meet. His time in the low hurdles is around 30 seconds.
In the triangular meet with the Argies and Nebraska at Manhattan, Deorbes won the low hardles and Weir the high hardles. Weir will probably enter the Chicago meet also, and a close race in the low hardles can be expected between Deorbes, Weir, and Gatlinte of Ohio.
The names of the Kansas men have been recommended by Conch Schlaidman for letters but have not yet been passed upon.
Inter-Racial Books at Library
The Inter-racial Commission has a shelf in the Education room of the library on which books concerning race relations have been placed. The books will be changed from time to time, and the library will be placed on the shelves during the next few weeks.
The Sonoran Follies cast of the University of Oklahoma will tour the state with "Under Water," this year's production.

University Baseball Men Cannot Play for Money
All University of Kansas baseball players, either on the varsity or freshman squads, who intend to play baseball this summer, are requested to turn in their names to the athletic office, together with statements as to where and with what team they intend to play, and a statement as to why they play for money. A Missouri valley ruling prevents students who fail to do this from competing next year if they play this summer.
Livingston Elected Captain of Baseball Team for Next Year
Sophomore Has Held Positions of Pitcher and Shortstop on 1926 Varsity
Lloyd L. "Llevy" Livingston, c.28, of Kanapoli, was elected to lead the 1927 baseball nine of the University of Kansas yesterday afternoon at the stadium and would be summoned to have their pictures taken for the 1927 Jayhawk. The election was limited to men who had been in valley competition this year. The team spent most of his time alternating between shortstop and the pitcher's mound. At the first of the season Coach Burn started him at third, then at center field, and then at short. Livingston was moved there and Corrigan was placed on third. Livingston spring a surprise by pitching in the second game against Minnesota, making them last rally. Missouri had two men on bases and only one down. 247 Golfers Enter Open Meet
The national American open golf championship has attracted a record entry. A field of 602 entries have been entered for this event. There will be in last year's event. This year's national open will be held at Columbus, Ohio, on July 8, 9, and 10.
