Candidates should be chosen by a group of at least 10 per cent of the student body. OPEN LETTER Members and friends of the "Smiling Bill" club; I want to thank each and every one of you for the help you have given me in running a clean campaign. Your spirit of co-operation and the fight you have shown has been simply wonderful. In view of the fact that the highest number of votes received by any candidate last year was 731, I feel justified in predicting an Independent landslide tomorrow.
