PAGE FOUR THE UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN TUESDAY, JANUARY 15, 1925 Corsaut to Bring Wildcats to K.U. for Tilt Tomorrow Kansas Is Favored to Win but Dope Doesn't Count for Much With Aggie Team Conch Charles Corsay will bring his Kansas Aggies to Lawrence Wednesday night to endeavor to show Dr. F, C. Allen's prowess how the eagle game is played at the school on the Kaw. The Wildest team got off to a poor start in the Valley race recently when it tungled with the Nebraska Cowhoppers and came out with the short loss. The Wildest team had the Nebraska had a team of old heads, while some of the Angies were somewhat green and untried, and no dependence can be placed on the outcome of Wild game as indicative of strong strength of the Wildest quintet. The St. Joseph Hillaryds defeated the Angies, 33 to 24, shortly after they fell before the attack of the team that beat them. Depe seems to favor Kansas to win by a narrow margin. Depe doesn't count for much when Wildcat and Jayhawk, meet, however, and the diehard Angies probably will probably show Kansas a real battle. The letter meet at the Aggie school are Captain Dolan, Bunker, Towles and Wiedenbach. Bunker was fifth among the high scores in the Valley last year and was the only man in the Aggie league to break through all sixes on Saturday at all sixes. He will be keen watching Wednesday night. Flapper Footwear End With Boyish Bob "Snow may come and snow may go, but galieshes, like bobbed hair, go on forever." Predictions that the flupting footwear so favored by members of the fair sex wear would go out of style have come to maugh, like those posistic and sometimes hopful predictions about short locks. From all appearances, the campus is in for a long stage of "zippers." Those who are posistic or hopful possess a pair in rushing about to buy, bear, or stall some before the snow melts and there is no longer, sufficient excuse for wearing them. Parents, though, will be overloaded to find that their daughters are at last taking up a fad that is practical for it is solidum that styles are useful as well as stylish. But it is a question whether they would prove worthwhile or not. If galoshes were not the rage, it would be a daring real world who would have courage enough to appear in these "practical" footwear. The United States Football Association, which controls the game in this country, considers that 1024 was not enough for still better things this season. As an example of just how far we are behind other nations in the game, take our record at the Olympics: The American team was composed of William Findlay, Bayonne, N. J.; Carl W. Johnston, Chicago; Herbert C. Chester, Pa.; James Rhoe and Charles M. Chester, Ed Hart, St Louis; Ray Hormeyer Tacony, Pa.; F. Jones, Bridgeville Pa.; F. O'Connor, Lynn, Mass; D.A. E. The score was 1 to 0. In the second round, the team defeated Urguma and were defeated, 3 to 0. The team was selected on a basis of play for the National Amateur Cup. Play for this trophy drew entries from 81 clubs in 1924. This was 50 per cent more than entered before the Fleischer Youth League club of Philadelphia won the cup. According to officials of the U. S. F. A., approximately 100 clubs are expected to compete for the trophy this year, and they say their chief care will be to find ground large champions accommodate spectators. The club, however, should soccer, however, will depend upon the amateurs. It is so with baseball. It boys quit playing baseball in the spring time; if even old timers, long injured to the business suit and the reader, didn't feel the stir of the game in their blood along about three weeks, the baseball would have the hold upon the nible it has today.
