UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN APRIL 29,1919. Hash Houses to Play Delayed Games Saturday Dean and Schumann Clubs of the Hash House League were scheduled to play a game last Friday but were prevented by the rain, and the game that was scheduled Monday afternoon, between the Goddip and Dunakin Clubs was postponed according to George Nettels, Hashhouse League president on account of the diamonds on Hamilton Field being too soft. Both games will be played off Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, and Nettels wishes both teams to be out on time, as both diamonds can be obtained at that time. Sport Beams By John A. Montgomery By John A. Montgomery The Jack Dempsey pestrey and boxing carnival in Convention Hall at Kansas City last night was only a fairly successful affair from the spectators standpoint, as only one or two wrestling matches were fast and exciting. The Japanese wrestling champion put on a real bout while Cutler of Chicago and Jack Drubs of New York also staged an exciting and laughable affair. The showing made by Dempsey did not please greatly the large crowd of spectators because he did not come up to expectations regardless of the fact that he was holding himself back. He boxed Jack Geyer and also Johnson a negro two rounds each and did not send home any of the press agented punches. In fact the audience hissed at his performance at times.
